Bill Brown (broadcaster)

Bill Brown is an American baseball announcer who has been with the Houston Astros since 1987. He is often called Brownie by his playbyplay partner Alan Ashby. He has developed a reputation for being a solid broadcaster who often played the straight man to former partner Jim Deshaies humorous asides. Brown was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame on November 12. 2004.
